An illusion apart : book

This book explores type as a form of language and image. Treating it visually, as it is readable. The book uses curated and edited text from 3 different sources, a commentary on borders and boundaries, breaking down and manipulating the lines of type.
The breakdown, repetition and movement of type can be disruptive, however allows to create something new from the original text. Sometimes the pages act as a division where content lays individually on either side of the spread, and in others text crosses the gutter to the other side of the page boundary.

The continuity allows simplicity in the system and visuals of the text, allowing the lines, their structure and breakdown to be the visual focus, allowing text to act as marks on a page when not read at first.
